Life drawing in pencil focusing on the collarbones. This drawing is approximately 23 x 40 cm

Fashion Illustrations

Personal project- fashion illustrations experimenting with colour. I have used coloured pencils for each drawing. The illustrations are approximately A4.

Visual Communications: mechanical drawing

This is one of my life drawings of a tool. To create this piece I experimented with a variety of different mediums, these include: graphite, drawing inks, acrylic paints, drawing pencils, newspaper and tissue paper.

Insect themed initial designs part 1 of 3

Initial pencil drawn designs of my A level project to create an insect-themed dress.

Insect themed developed designs part 2 of 3

Further pencil drawn designs (in colour) and material samples, including a hand-drawn beetle pattern that was printed onto fabric.

Insect themed dress part 3 of 3

This is the dress that I made. It is the final product of the project you have seen previously. The bottom right hand corner features some samples; the one on the left is a laser cut sample I used on the dress and the second is a swatch of fabric that I designed and printed myself.

Lino Prints

Prints designed by myself and hand-carved into lino. Each of these lino prints is roughly A5.

Proud as A Peacock

Life drawing done in pencil exploring animal imagery and the human body. This drawing is A1.

Sketches

Pieces taken from my A4-sized sketch book. For the first drawing I decided to experiment with pencils, fine liners, bleach, ink and parcel paper. For the second I simply used a coloured pencil. The third page was created using acrylic paint. The last using drawing pencils.

Sleepwear: Playsuit

Personal project creating a piece of sleepwear. I made this playsuit out of crepe back satin with a lace trim. The sketch is A5 and I used pencil.

Drawing Week: Skeleton

Art Foundation drawing week: a graphite drawing of a skeleton. This still life drawing is A2-sized.

Juxtaposition & Structure (1) research and process

Recently-finished project exploring the juxtaposition of different materials, in particular those that are not normally associated with each other.

Juxtaposition & Structure (2) final piece

Recently-finished project exploring the juxtaposition of different materials, in particular those that as not normally associated with each other. This leotard is made from cotton lycra and paper.

Collages

Part of a project exploring the contrast between architecture and nature. Each of these collages are A4. The majority of the images were found in historical books and I cut them in different ways to create a visually exciting composition. I experimented with the layout of the collages on the page, the use of colour and withholding colour.

Large Scale wall drawing: Architecture project

Part of a project exploring the contrast between architecture and nature. This drawing is over 6 ft. I have used graphite to draw the image of the building and sewn into the paper using coloured cotton thread.
